Kathy Darlene Martinez

Kathy Darlene Martinez
February 15, 1954 ~ April 25, 2018

Kathy was such an inspiration, a beacon of light, as many of her friends and loved ones referred to her. Her family and friends were here world. You can bet that you were each called by name every night or day if you were in need of prayers. She was the rock and source of hope to every single one of us even through the daily trials she faced.

On April 25, 2018 the Lord called our sweet mama home after a long battle with a nasty disease that tried to rob her of her life and all of her joy. She finally received her healing, and for the first time in over 20 years she rose up out of the broken body that held her captive and she walked through the narrow gates of heaven with her arms stretched to hug her heavenly father's neck who no doubt welcomed her with, "well done my good and faithful servant," as he led her to his throne to her rightfully deserved seat at the right hand side of him, where she now continues her job as warrior of Christ, watching us, guiding us from above.

Our mama left behind a legacy. She was an example of faith, God's grace, and his mercy. Our mama fought back with all she had. Through her life she owned restaurants, wrote music, and painted. But what many would consider special about her was the way she carried her faith in spite of what was ailing her, and used it to be a light, to witness and guide and love. To be an example of Christ was her goal and there is no doubt that she far exceeded that. The strongest, most beautiful woman and soul we know las left this earth, but only to prepare our home as she waits for us to arrive.

She loved her kids, grandkids, and she definitely love our daddy. The love shown as they fought together was also a testimony. And she will be so missed.

Our mama's Services will be held at 2:00PM at the Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Barnsdall.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory
