Shirley Ann Martin was born on June 26, 1975 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and was welcomed into the bosom of our Lord and Savior on April 19th, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Eli and Louise Turtle, paternal grandparents Young Turtle and Emma McLemore, Maternal grandparents John and Pauline Grayson, 3 uncles – Henry Turtle, Alex Grayson and Tommy Grayson, 2 cousins – Carolyn Snead and Randy Snead.
Shirley, a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, enjoyed teaching the young children’s class.
She attended Northeastern State University graduating a Redman and earning a Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
Shirley, Johnny and the boys loved traveling to new places, family gatherings and celebrating birthdays and holidays.
She was always a kid at heart, with a contagious sense of humor. Wherever she was, you could bet there was laughter.
Above all, Shirley had a strong relationship with the Lord and enjoyed attending church with her family.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Johnny and two sons, Jacob and Joshua Martin of the home, her 3 sisters – Ruth Holiman and husband Jeff of Stilwell, OK, Emma Tune of Tahlequah, OK, Dianna Turtle Feeling and husband Vince of Tahlequah, OK, 1 nephew Garrett Tune of Tahlequah, 2 nieces – Michelle Holiman of Tahlequah and Courtney Holiman of Stilwell, uncles – Williams Turtle and wife Nina of Kansas, OK, John Grayson, Jr. and wife Kathy of Broken Arrow, OK, Joe Grayson of Stilwell, aunts – Liz Guthrie of Tulsa, OK, Marilyn Cochran and husband Paul, Sarah Burris and Dora Grayson, all of Stilwell.
She also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends.
