Larry Dale Martin, life-long Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, resident was born September 19, 1952, in Oklahoma City. He departed this life on March 13, 2021, at his home at the age of 68 years.
Larry was the son of Harold and Frances (Roberts) Martin. He graduated from North West Classen High School in 1970. Larry married the love of his life Carrie Lee Townsend on July 15, 1972, at the May Ave. Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. Larry was a master brick and rock mason, having worked in and around Oklahoma City of many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, music, and playing guitar. Larry loved sports, he was a huge fan of the OU Sooners, Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees. Larry coached youth baseball and basketball, played softball and was a scratch golfer, having qualified numerous times for the Oklahoma Open. He will be greatly missed.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Francis Martin; grandparents, Hugo & Eunice Martin, Roland & May Roberts; one sister, Sheila Babcock; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie & Sylvia Martin; and one niece, Sarah Babcock.
He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Carrie of the home; one daughter, Natalee Zinser of Oklahoma City; one son, Travis Martin of Oklahoma City; five grandsons, Kamron, Kaden, Dallas, Zachary and Logan; one granddaughter, Lily; numerous nieces & nephews, other relatives and many friends.
