Elvin Ray Martin, 77, died October 14, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He was born November 23, 1942 in Geary, Oklahoma to Eldon and Ruth (Andis) Martin. As a farmer and rancher, he enjoyed riding and showing cutting horses, painting, and sculpting, and loved western and gospel music. He had a special talent for training horses and teaching others how to train them. He loved having his family around for good stories and great laughter. He would take advantage of every opportunity to talk about his family to anyone that would listen.
Elvin was preceded in death by his parents and twin sister, Ellen Hall. Survivors include his loving wife, Ann; sons, Tommy Martin and wife Kim, and Jimmy Martin and wife Paige; daughter, Ruthann McCrary and husband Jeff; brother, Dwight Martin and wife Susan; 12 grandchildren, Nate, Chase and wife Mycha, Devin and wife Brittany, Jerricho, Codey, Ashley, Hunter and husband Ryan, Paxton and husband Zach, Jordan, Kane, Raylee, and Caden; and 8 great-grandchildren, Draven, Angelica, Kaiya, Madilyn, Tristan, Dallie, Isabella, and Cora; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 24, 2:00pm at Lake Overholser Church of the Nazarene.
Memorials may be made in Elvin’s name to Baptist Village, 9700 Mashburn Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73162.
