Connie Elizabeth Martin, born on April 23, 1949, in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late William E. Scribner and Billie Alice (Wade) Scribner, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Connie was raised and educated in Drumright, Oklahoma, and was a 1967 graduate of Drumright High School. After graduation, she attended Oklahoma State University where she quickly became involved in campus life. While raising three young children, she pursued a career in nursing and attained her LPN and RN licenses in Arkansas, while being nationally recognized in the Who’s Who academic achievement program. In 1993, Connie moved back to Oklahoma where she worked as a home health nurse, ICU nurse, and rehabilitation nurse until her retirement in 2011. On October 1, 1994, she married David L. Martin, Jr. and they established their lives together in Drumright, OK.
Connie is survived by her husband David L. Martin, Jr., son Shane (Laura) Morgan, daughter Tiffany (Hana) Shawareb, daughter Melanie (Tony) Chrisp, son Eric (Chantelle) Martin, daughter Megan (Michael) Ditty, nephew William (Ashley) Scribner, bonus daughter Nikki Meyer and her children, grandchildren Destiny (Chris) Noll, Ciera Endicott, Hayden Shawareb, Harley Goad, Justin (Darbi) Morgan, Lexi Vassar, Jade Morgan, Gavin Shawareb, great-grandchildren Memory, Wyatt, Luke, Amani, Millie, and great-niece Hadlee. She is further survived by many friends and family members, as well as her beloved dog Sheeba. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Stephen Scribner.
