Dorothy Dean Marshall � 96 passed on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at her home in Dewey.
She was born to Ruby and Kirby Brinkly on April 17, 1920 in McCurtain, Okla. Dorothy grew up in Henryetta, Okla. and Corsicana, Texas, graduating from Gaston High School. She married Grover Marshall, Jr. on June 8, 1940. Mr. Marshall worked for Southwestern Bell for 45 years. They lived in Bartlesville and raised three children, Grover, lll, Jan and K. Bruce. Dorothy was a stay at home, loving mother. Mom was always there with a kind word and a hug � there with a smile to share and a shoulder to cry on in good and bad times.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Grover, Jr., one son K. Bruce Marshall, her parents Ruby (Keith) Powers and stepfather Robert Powers, her father Kirby Brinkly; one brother, Sonny Powers, two sisters, Bobby Johnson and Helen Hamilton.
She is survived by one son, Grover, lll and wife Margery of Broken Arrow, Okla., one daughter Jan Harrington and husband Orville of Dewey, Okla. She had five grandchildren, Kathy Hall and husband Jody of Alpharetta, Ga., Grant Marshall and wife Randi of Skiatook, Okla., Ashley Marshall of Bartlesville and Brandon Marshall of Owasso, Okla., Dana Harrington of Dewey and Leslie Odom. She had five great grandchildren, Caden Hall, Conner Hall and Sophie Hall; Maci Marshall and Deven Turner.
