David Marquis was born February 14, 1955 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Kathryn Sue and Robert McKinley Marquis. He passed away April 23, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years 2 months and 9 days.
David grew up and attended school in Irving, Texas. He briefly worked with his grandfather on the family ranch. David later began working for Coleman Manufacturing Company in Wichita, Kansas where he worked assembling ice chest. David continued working there for 18 years until he returned to the family ranch in the Erick area to take care of family. He was an avid fisherman and loved farming.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his 1 daughter, Christie Bryant and husband, Shane, Hubbard, TX; 1 granddaughter, Alyssa Bryant, Hubbard, TX; 1 grandson, Christian Bryant, Hubbard, TX; his mother, Kathryn Marquis Bass, Erick, OK; long time companion, Janie Brockett, Erick, OK; 2 brothers, Douglas Marquis, Allen, TX and Gary Marquis, St. Louis, MO; 1 aunt, Patricia McCabe, Overland, KS; his best friend, Brian Mayfield, Erick, OK and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
