Frank Adolph Marquier Jr.

July 06, 1939 ~ March 29, 2019

Frank Adolph Marquier Jr. , age 79 of Newcastle, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Tuttle Nursing Home. He was born on July 6, 1939 in Orange County, New Jersey. Frank was the oldest of five children born to Frank Adolph Marguier Sr. and Gertrude Lillian Elizabeth (Jefferis). Frank grew up and attended high school in New Jersey. He later met and married a young lady from Southeast Oklahoma by the name of Faye Laverne Lanning. Together made Oklahoma their home and together they raised two sons, Howard and Matthew.

Frank worked many years as a Diesel Mechanic and later as a Truck Driving Instructor for J. B. Hunt. When his son started his own business, “Howard’s Excavating and Paving”, Frank worked for him until he retired.

He was preceded in death by:

Parents, his wife and one brother, Geoffrey.

He is survived by:

Two sons, Howard Marquier and wife Gena of Newcastle,

Matthew Marquier and wife Rhonda of Newcastle,

One brother, Richard Marquier of MO.

Two sisters, Kristin Varza of SC,

Cynthia Potter of NJ.

Three grandchildren, Christopher, Chase and Breanna.

Also several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date in a cemetery in Southeast Oklahoma where his wife grew up.
