Earlean May Marler, known affectionately as a wife, Mom, Mema and Grandma, went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 19, 2020 at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 20 days.
Earlean was born to George Murphy and Ruthie B. Johnson on January 30, 1939 in Lamar, CO. She was predeceased by her mother and father, brother Allen Augustus Murphy, two daughters Kathern Ann Arms and Virginia Louise Marler, one son Quinten Jeremiah Marler, 2 grandkids Jeffery Paul Marler and Shonda Renee Lockhart and one great grandson Joshua Obadiah Crittenden, Jr.
In 1951 Earlean met her husband Jackie Marler of 68 years in the balcony of the theater in Poteau, Oklahoma. It has been said that she told her friends that was the man she was going to marry the moment she seen him from that balcony, and she was right. They were married on December 21, 1951, and to this union, 8 children were born, and they adopted 3 of their great grandsons.
Earlean worked outside the home as a Medication Aide and Cook at several nursing homes in her life. She loved taking care of people and she had the best hugs in the world.
During her life she raised her children and helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She provided a loving and nurturing presence for all who knew her and loved with all her heart. She loved to read, work her puzzle books, and play her games. She loved to cook and made the best yeast rolls in the world.
Earlean enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with her dog Sweet Pea and the love of her life. She enjoyed anytime she got to spend time with her family.
Earlean is survived by her husband, Jackie of the home, and 5 daughters Arlean Sue Crittenden and husband Donal of Westville, Oklahoma and Letha Nell Pack and husband Terry of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Ruthie Marie Short and husband Richard of Lincoln, Arkansas, Belinda Dian Willett and husband Michael of Morrow, Arkansas and Sarah Louise Carter and husband Robert of Cedarville, Arkansas. 3 sons Joseph William Marler and wife Brenda of Afton, Oklahoma, and Dakota Sage Marler of Paragould, Arkansas, and Zachary Nathaniel Marler and wife Kara of Westville, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 27 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She will be greatly missed.
