Farley L. Maple, “Tex”, age 87, left his earthly home Wednesday, October 31st at his home in rural Delaware, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family.
Farley was born to Tom and Vera Maple on December 5, 1930 in Borger, Texas.
He attended Delaware schools. Farley served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1954. He was stationed in Greenland as a heavy equipment mechanic and operator.
In September 1957, he married Mary Snider, Nowata, Oklahoma. Four children were born to them, David, Deanna, Denise and Dean.
He owned and operated Maple Construction from 1956 to 1962. The family moved to Miami, Oklahoma in 1964 where he was a supervisor in pipeline construction for several companies, traveling to several states each year.
He retired in 2000 and moved back to Delaware, where the family lives now.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Maple of 61 years; his children David and Teresa Maple of Delaware, Denise Maple Whitecrow and Joni Whitecrow of Quapaw, Oklahoma and Dean Maple of Delaware, Oklahoma. Farley has 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Tex Farley Maple will be missed by family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Vera Maple, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, a loving daughter, Deanna Allen (Maple).
A casual service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 2:00pm at Living Word Church in Nowata, Oklahoma and all are invited to celebrate his life.
