A Memorial Service for Linda Manzey, 69, is 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at the Enid First Church of the Nazarene, 324 N. Cleveland, Enid. Visitation with Linda's family will follow.
Linda Darlene George was born in Chandler to Clyde and Doris George. She passed away June 4, 2018, from complications due to Diabetes Type 1, which she'd had since childhood. She attended Enid Public Schools and graduated from Enid High School.
Linda and ex-husband Lee Tester were married in 1967; two daughters, Lisa and Amanda, were born to this union. For a short period, she taught at an Enid Christian School and also home schooled her daughters.
Linda made garments and also did alterations for customers. Cake decorating was also one of her talents.
Linda later married Barry Manzey in September 2001. They made their home in Arkansas, on the side of a hill covered with trees and with a stream flowing at the bottom.
She loved to see all types of plants grow, especially flowers. Music was always a big part of her life, singing and playing the piano. Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age and served Him faithfully throughout her life.
Linda is survived by husband, Barry Manzey; a daughter, Lisa Diane Griffin, and her children Elizabeth, Christopher, and Seth; a daughter, Amanda Leigh Gobel and husband Deron, and their children Cynthia and Sam; step-daughter Denise and husband Micheal, and their son Spencer, all of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, Marc George and wife Charlene, and their daughter Radona of Enid; Linda's mother, Doris George of Enid; many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends that will miss her dearly.
Linda's "Daddy" Clyde George is in Heaven where they are rejoicing together!
Memorials may be made to Lake Hamilton Church of the Nazarene, 200 Lockhaven Pointe, Hot Springs, AR 71913.
