Laura Lea Malcolm, 63 year old Woodward resident died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at home. Memorial funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joe Arledge officiating.
Laura Lea Wheeler was born on December 25, 1951 to Adam and Pearl (Hoffman) Wheeler in Freedom, Oklahoma. She was reared in the western Oklahoma area and graduated from Freedom High School in 1969.
On July 11, 1971 she was united in marriage to Arthur Tuxhorn. This union was blessed with two children; Teri and Duane. On May 19, 1978 she was united in marriage to David Malcolm. This union blessed them with one child, David.
Laura was a dispatcher for the Sheriffs office in Buffalo for many years and was proud of obtaining her certificate in business.
Laura had many hobbies which included being an avid photographer, playing any kind of card games, walking , hiking and exploring and looking for different and ornate rocks and loved to read. Her family brought her the greatest joy in life.
Laura is survived by one daughter Teri Wrenn and husband John of Belle Plaine, Kansas; two sons Duane Tuxhorn and wife Amy of Fayetteville , North Carolina; David Malcolm and girlfriend Patricia Zentz of Woodward; 15 grandchildren Christopher Bohnert; Jonathan Bohnert; Scott Wrenn; Adam Wrenn; Lorraine Wrenn; Joseph Tuxhorn; John Tuxhorn; Elijah Tuxhorn; Brennan Tuxhorn; Traithew Tuxhorn; Amethyst Tuxhorn; Dakota Tuxhorn; Arthur Tuxhorn; Caleb Perrin and Moredread Malcolm; two brothers Robert and Ronald Wheeler; fiancee John Scottman and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rodney Wheeler
