The funeral service for Debra Ann Majors, 56, will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with The Most Reverend Gary Majors, OSB, DD, officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Debra was born to Jack and Idalene (Harland) McVicker on November 10, 1955, at Camp Pendleton, California, and passed away Monday, January 2, 2012, at her home in Enid.
Debra grew up in Enid, and graduated from Enid High School. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from NW-OSU in 1993. She worked for Bass Baptist Health Center for twenty years. Debra was an ER Nurse for thirteen years, and traveling nurse for five years, working in New York City, Washington DC area, and Santa Fe, NM, before settling in the Denver area. In 2006, she medically retired from Exempla St. Joseph Hospital, Denver. Debra married Larry Majors on September 2, 2004, in Commerce City, Colorado. She was a member of the Divine Mercy Independent Catholic Church of Irving, Texas.
Debra is survived by husband Larry; daughter Kelli Hayes and husband Todd; niece Nikki Juhnke and husband Brent; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Paige Ratzlaff; two grand nieces, Leah and Lauryn Juhnke; grand nephew Ashton Juhnke, all of Enid; father-in-law George Majors of Tulsa; and brother-in-law Gary Majors and partner Theo Foster of Richardson, Texas.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and grandmother.
