Myrl Wayne Magnus was born April 12, 1940, to Leo and Georgia Snodgrass Magnus in rural Cowley County, Kansas, near Cedar Vale. He attended rural schools and graduated from Cedar Vale High School in 1958.
On February 5, 1959, Myrl married his childhood sweetheart, Marion Hudgins. They raised their children, Monty Magnus and Lori Holt, in Medford, Oklahoma.
Myrl passed from this life on Thursday, March 4, 2021, in their home with his loving family by his side.
Myrl was in the ranching and pipeline business in Kansas, Montana, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. He shared his favorite pastime, team-roping, with his son, Monty, and his grandchildren, as well as with many friends he made along the way. Honest, hardworking, fun to be around and a friend to all!! He was dearly loved by his family and many friends.
Myrl is survived by his wife, Marion Magnus of Medford; his children, Monty and Wendy Magnus and Lori Holt; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; cousins; and many friends.
Funeral service for Myrl Magnus will be Monday, March 8, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Medford Civic Center. Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2021 in Cedar Vale Cemetery, Cedar Vale, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Medford or Hospice Circle of Love, through the funeral home.
