Services for William Henry Magby, 86, of Wewoka, formerly of Asher are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Magby passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at a Holdenville nursing home. He was born January 8, 1930 at Hot Springs, AR to Earnest and Hazel Chambers Magby.
His 1st wife, Martha preceded him in death. He later married Zereda Shannon. She preceded him in death November 22, 2012. Mr. Magby was a retired dairy farmer and had also raised citrus and peanuts. He loved to fish, watch wrestling, dance and listen to country music.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Magby and wife Jean of Hot Springs, AR, Eric Magby of Fond Du Lac, WI and Joe Magby and wife Shawna of Asher; four daughters, Dianne Cox of Texas, Cindy Bennett and husband Alan of Ponca City, Janet Nicely and husband Ronald of Shawnee and Melanie Magby and Gerald Williams of Seminole; a step-son, Charles Shannon of Oklahoma City; step-daughter, Rita Hoedebeck of Madill; two brothers, Robert and Leonard Magby; two sisters, Leona Barnett and Dovie Pritchard and husband Buck; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two step-sons, Brian Shannon and Tim Shannon; and a grandson, Levi Bennett.
