Linda Louise (Embry) Madden

Linda Madden, age 62 of Purcell, passed away Thursday June 21, 2012. Linda Louise Embry was born January 6, 1950 in Lexington, OK, the 2nd of 7 children born to Donnie Vester Embry and Rosa Lee (Bryen) Embry. She grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington Schools. Linda married Larry Rex Madden on June 6, 1966 in Purcell where they raised their sons, Curtis & Tim. They later moved to Norman where Linda worked as a hair stylist and beautician. For many years, she worked at her sister’s beauty shop “The House of Venus”. They settled back in Purcell in the early 1980’s. Linda was a wonderful wife and mother. She enjoyed floral arranging and working in her back yard. She loved the outdoors and especially camping and fishing, and never missed a good sci-fi or horror movie. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Donnie and Rosa Embry and Her brother, Coy Embry.

Linda leaves behind: Her husband, Larry Madden, of the home; Her sons, Curtis Madden and wife Mitzie of Purcell & Tim Madden and wife Carissa of Purcell; Her sister, Cathy Graves and husband Kenny of Needville, TX; 4 brothers, Donnie Embry and wife Karen of Washington, Steve Embry and wife Viola of Lexington, Johnny Embry and wife Brenda of Lexington and David Embry and wife Connie of Lexington; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; Several nieces & nephews, cousins and many other family and friends.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Wilson-Little of Purcell.
