Micheal Mack, 55 year old Laverne resident, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in Oklahoma City. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 2, 2025 in the Woodward County Event Center.
Micheal Mack was born on January 3, 1970, in Englewood, Colorado, to Lawrence Edward Mack and Marilyn Jean Mann. He grew up in the Englewood area and graduated from Englewood High School in 1988.
Micheal's world changed drastically when Misty pushed through his comfort zone and proceeded to drag him into various adventures. He rarely ever told Misty "No" when it came to anything. They embarked on one of their greatest adventures in 2001 when they were united in marriage. Micheal and Misty welcomed Braeden into their world while living in Colorado. After Micheal willingly followed Misty to Florida for her work, their family was completed with the arrival of Riley. During the family's time in Florida, Micheal cherished his role as a stay-at-home dad, which was always his favorite "job." In 2007, Misty introduced Micheal, the city boy, to country life when they moved to their permanent home outside of Laverne, Oklahoma.
Micheal dedicated the last 18 years of his life to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, with most of that time spent working at the William S. Key Correctional Center until its closure. Known for his quiet nature, dedication to loved ones, and caretaker mentality, Micheal was deeply committed to serving others. He volunteered as a firefighter with the Fort Supply Fire Department since May 1, 2018, and had served as a founding member of the William S. Key Correctional Center Fire Brigade prior to 2018.
Micheal is survived by his wife of 23 years, Misty, and their two sons, Braeden and Riley, who were truly the center of his world. He will also be missed by his sisters Ginger Mack and Amanda Mack, his brother Lawrence Mack Jr, father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe and Marilyn Gibson, sister-in-law Lana Mack, brother-in-law Dusty Gibson, nephews Ryan Mack, John Christopher Lytle, and Shelby Mack, nieces Savannah Mack, Shyanna Mack, and Sidnee Mack as well as other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Mack.
