Donna L Lynn (nee Lobaugh), 87, passed away October 10, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born in Bartlesville, OK on March 1, 1930 to T.F. "Bee" and Bernadine Lobaugh. Donna was a life-long resident of Bartlesville. She graduated from College High School in 1948.
Donna married James (Jim) Lynn on June 24, 1950. Donna was active in the community serving as a volunteer of the Jaycee-ettes and the Bartlesville Elks Lodge (BPOE). She had a beautiful soprano voice and sang in the First United Methodist Church choir for many years. In addition, Donna sang with the Philtones, a musical show choir sponsored by Phillips Petroleum Co that entertained in schools, nursing homes and at community events as well as Phillips corporate events both locally and nationally. Donna was also honored to sing as a soloist in many weddings in Bartlesville.
Donna worked as a legal secretary for Lewis B Ambler until her retirement in 1988.
Donna was a great wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a fabulous cook!! Her homemade fudge, strawberry shortcake, and lasagna were just a few of the specialties she was known for amongst her friends and family. Donna and Jim spent many happy years together as husband and wife and best friends. They were avid OU Sooner fans and had season football tickets for many years. They loved traveling together and took many wonderful vacations. After they retired, they learned the art of stained glass and created many beautiful pieces together.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jim, her parents and her infant brother, Keith Lobaugh.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Vicki Henderson and her husband Alan of Jackson Hole, WY, her son, Guy Mark and his wife Jeannine of Norman OK, four grandchildren, Logan Henderson and his wife, Jennifer, Christopher Lynn, Philip Henderson and his wife Katie and Alisha Driver and her husband Dillion, two great grandchildren, Lilly Lynn and Lila Henderson, and one brother Jimmie B Lobaugh.
The family wishes to express thanks to the excellent care given to Donna by Tendercare Hospice of Oklahoma City and the entire staff of Autumn Leaves Assisted Living Memory Care Center of Southwest Oklahoma City where she had lived since mid June.
Services will be private. The family requests no flowers.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
