John Van Reed Lyman
March 14, 1939 ~ July 17, 2020

John Van Reed Lyman passed away on July 17, 2020 in Edmond, OK. He was born in Bronxville, NY on March 14, 1939 to Richard V.R. Lyman and Lois M. Lyman. He attended high school at Boothbay Region and was in the U.S. Coast Guard from March 1960 to March 1964. John attended Boston University and worked for Honeywell MPI Seagate and Cherokee Data where he retired. His interest included photography, sailing/boating, travel, reading, and music. He married Flora K. Cessna on July 18, 1975.

John is survived by his wife, Flora K. Lyman, children, Richard Lyman, Mike Bransby and Lisa Jenkins, and sisters Lois B. Lyman and Mary S. Lyman.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK.
