Karie Lynn (Quillin) Luster

Karie Lynn (Quillin) Luster
November 3, 1969 ~ September 5, 2021

Karie Lynn (Quillin) Luster, 51, went peacefully into heaven on September 5, 2021. Karie was born on November 3, 1969, in Owosso, Michigan, to Donna (Moore) and Jerry Quillin. She was a 1988 graduate of Wynona Public Schools, where she attended all 12 years. Karie achieved a notable accomplishment earning perfect attendance in school for 11 straight years. During her last two years of high school, and continuing after graduation, Karie attend Tri County Tech where she studied early childhood development.

She went on to work in childcare for more than 25 years, loving on every child as though they were her own. For more than 18 years she cared for children at Wilson Elementary School in the before and after program. Karie nurtured thousands of children throughout her decades of childcare and was loved in return by the children and parents she served.

Karie met Bryan Luster in January 2003, a single dad to one of her students. She liked to joke she "stole a dad from work one day", and the two were married on November 8, 2004. Bryan and Karie happily made their home in Bartlesville.

Karie often said her greatest accomplishment was raising her children, whom she was most proud of. She was delighted to see the tremendous adults they grew into and celebrated their accomplishments with pleasure and adoration. Karie's ultimate mission was to spend every moment she could with her three grandchildren, Zach, Zayn, and Easton. She loved spending quality time with her family and spoiling her grandbabies with love and affection.

In addition to doting on her family, Karie thought of shopping as a hobby and was obsessed with finding fabulous purses and shoes. Those who knew Karie well knew of her tough stubbornness, her loyal heart, and her generous spirit. She loved her family and friends deeply and was a faithful friend to many.

Karie is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Quillin and Donna Townley. She is survived by her husband, Bryan, of their home, and her brother, Buddy Quillin, of Wynona.

She is also survived by her children, Rusty Miller, of Wynona; Ricky Janssen, and wife Cassie, of Skiatook; Kasi Wells, and husband Marcus, of Bartlesville; Joey Luster, Andy Luster, and Chase Luster, all of Bartlesville. Karie will be deeply missed by her immediate family, aunts, uncles, cousin, many friends, and especially her grandbabies.

Services celebrating Karie's life and legacy will be held at Humble Road Church, at 2pm, on Tuesday the 14th of September, preceding cremation. The family is sharing viewing at Stumpff Funeral Home from Noon to 3pm on Thursday the 9th of September.
