"Butch" Lawrence Lynn Luetkemeyer was born January 9, 1957, in Enid, Oklahoma, and passed away on July 14, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family. His parents Alice and "Baldy" Lawrence Luetkemeyer, his sister Trish, and lifelong mentor Larry Buckley preceded him in death.
Butch married Beverly Jane Rogers in 1978 and had a daughter, Virginia Ann "Ginger" Luetkemeyer.
On July 4, 1992, Butch married the love of his life and eternal companion, Peggy Sue Wells. With this union, Peggy adopted Butch's son, Markus, and Butch was blessed with the families of Peggy's children, Margaret Ann and Thomas L. Layne Jr.
Butch was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he was involved in the youth program and spent many years with his son and grandsons at the church boy's camp.
Butch is survived by his wife, Peggy; their children and spouses, Margi (Chris), Tom (Nancy), Ginger (Warren), and Markus (Mallary). His grandchildren, Katie, Michelle, Tyler, Masa, Siera, Jacob, TL, Zac, Ian, Conner, Aleese, Nash, Slate, and Rowen, and 16 great-grandchildren will miss him dearly.
He is also survived by his siblings Linda, Susan, Terri, Bill, Bob, Danny, his best friend, Danny's wife Sharon, and many more adoring friends.
Instead of flowers, please donate to the Salvation Army Angel Tree or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Enid Ward Youth Program.
Services for Butch will be on July 19, 1:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 419 N. Eisenhower, Enid, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Guestbook: www.andersonburris.com.
