Buddy Lucero was born September 5, 1952 in Fort Sill, OK to Patricia Dea (Jones) and Raymond Lucero, Sr. He died on December 9, 2013 in Ardmore, OK. He was 61 years old. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 2PM in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.
Buddy was raised in Lawton and attended the local schools. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1971. He married Jann Dodd in 1972. They had three children: Stacey, Jill and Shea. In July 1999 he married Lou Ann Isom. Buddy was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, softball, golf, mini sprint racing, and anything that had to do with being outdoors. He was a self-employed plumber. In 2002, he began working as the Southeast Oklahoma State Plumbing Inspector until his death.
He is preceded in death by both parents; his step-father, Hubert Huffman; a sister, Ramona Lucero; and an uncle and aunt, Cliff and Bartina Peoples.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann of the home; daughters, Stacey Lucero of Lawton and Jill Long of Cache; a son, Shea Lucero of Lawton; step-son, Brandon Isom and wife Brandi of Lawton; grandchildren: Layni Lucero of Lawton, Tanner Lucero of Cache, Brenden Lucero of Lawton, Skyler and Kaci Long of Cache and Oakley and Hailey Isom of Lawton; brother, Vernon Lucero and wife Debbie of Dallas, GA; sisters, Pamela Johnson and husband Billy of Crosslands, WV and Sharra Huffman of Hurricane, WV. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving family members and friends.
