Patsy Ruth Lucas, 86, retired Medical Assistant, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, OK.
Patsy was born on June 27, 1931 in Fort Worth, TX to parents John Douglas and Capitola Lydia (Bolen) Adams. She attended high school in Colbert, OK. In 1946 Patsy married Charlie King. In 1975, Patsy married Jack Lucas in Albuquerque, NM and were married for 33 wonderful years before he preceded her in death.
Patsy was very musically inclined and could play both the piano and guitar. Patsy had an incredibly beautiful singing voice and could even yodel! Patsy had a great love for the Lord and she loved to share her talent of singing in church, along with assisting her husband Jack in pastoring.
Patsy was also a very good seamstress and she made her children's clothing when there were growing up. When she lived in New Mexico she crocheted afghan blankets for all her grandchildren and won many blue ribbons at county fairs. She also crocheted caps for newborn babies at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, OK.
Patsy was always generous with her time and talents and was happy to give them to her family, church and her community.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Jill Darlene Bennett, husband Jack Lucas and brothers, George Adams and Jon Adams.
Patsy is survived by her children, Judy Williams and husband Leroy of Bartlesville, Ok, Chuck King of Liberty Hill, TX, and Tim King of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren, Jason Williams of Bartlesville, OK, Aaron Williams of Tulsa, OK, Kolby Williams and wife Shayna of Forney, TX, Debra Fawvor and husband Jarrett of Orange, TX, Nathan Bennett and wife Sydney of Moriarty, NM, Hannah Makvandi of Albuquerque, NM, Isabella King of Owasso, OK, Gabby King of Owasso, OK, and Charles King of Tulsa, OK.
Patsy is also survived by her twin sister Peggy Dutton of Los Lunas, NM, sister Netty Hendrickson of Pflugerville, TX and a brother Tony Adams of Manhattan, MT; along with numerous great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
