Juanito Salazar “Jay” Lu-way

Juanito Salazar “Jay” Lu-way
June 12, 1966 ~ January 18, 2022

Juanito “Jay” Salazar Lu-way, son of Juanito Tarayo and Anita Baker, was born on June 12, 1966, in the Philippines and passed from this life on Monday, January 17, 2022, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at 55 years of age.

Jay was a “no drama”, fun-loving and kind hearted man that never had anything bad to say about anyone.

He was patient, always understanding and willing to help anyone who needed it.

He was a wonderful, loving husband. He thoroughly enjoyed his career as a table games dealer. He loved telling his jokes and having fun.

He was a man that took pride in providing for his wife and taking care of their home.

Jay considered himself a “Grill master”, loved to sit around the fire, sing karaoke, dance, play pool, poker, travel, talk politics, play with the kiddos, go to the river, and host get-togethers with family and friends.

Everyone that knew Jay knew he was a faithful San Francisco 49ers Fan. Every year, it was a given that his Halloween costume was a 49ers football player.

Jay’s “go to” music was the 80’s. Working outside, relaxing, cooking, or driving the 80’s was playing loud and proud.

He was a man with a plan, for everything, and he could DO just about anything with the help of YouTube. He would watch, and then re-watch, again and again until he figured it all out. He was Mr. Fix-It.

His carefree spirit, loving heart, and contagious smile will forever be dearly missed.

Juanito is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, Cheyanna (Cookson) Lu-way of the home in Stilwell, OK, children: Hannah Nicole Lu-way of Petersburg, Alaska, Alexander James Lu-way of Sacramento, California, mom: Anita (Lu-way) Baker and step father David Baker of Lowell, Arkansas, sister: Tina Lu-way of Sacramento, brother: James Lu-way Baker of Atlanta, GA and many other relatives and friends.
