Claudia Marie Loyd
December 30, 1955 ~ November 1, 2025

Claudia “Marie” Loyd, of Durant passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Denison, TX at the age of 69. Marie was born on December 30, 1955, in Durant, OK to Claudie Wayne Loyd and Nora Darlene (Gilbert) Loyd. She graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in Dallas, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Durant and of the Baptist faith. Marie worked the last 18 ½ years for Choctaw Nation where she recently retired. Marie loved her grandkids, gardening, outside yard work, and cooking.

She is preceded in death by her parents Claudie and Nora Loyd, and sisters Kimberly Loyd and Doretha Partain.

Marie is survived by her sons Jason Downs and wife Angelika of Durant, OK, Bryan Downs and wife Ashley of Mead, eight grandchildren Katelynn Phifer and husband Andrew of McKinney, TX, Ashton Downs of Mead, OK, Brooke Downs of Durant, OK, Brax Downs of Mead, OK, Jaxdyn Hall of Mead, OK, Kinlee Hall of Mead, OK, Bennix Downs of Mead, OK and Collin Downs of Durant, OK, great grandchildren Kashtyn Toombs, Emma Phifer, Kreed Toombs, and Olivia Phifer.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 4-6 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
