Norma Lowther, 63 year old Mutual resident passed away, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Oklahoma City. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincoln Campus with Reverend Andrew Dostal officiating.
Norma Jo (Griffith) Lowther was born July 24, 1962 to Harlan Eugene and Juanita Jewel (Arrington) Griffith in Woodward, Oklahoma. Norma grew up in Woodward and Woods counties and attended school in Freedom and Woodward. After high school, Norma attended and received her Associates Degree from Drawns Business College in Little Rock, Arkansas. While in Arkansas, she was united into marriage to Donald Richard Lowther on Valentine's Day in 1992. The couple made their home in Bryant, Arkansas before moving back to Sharon, Oklahoma and later settling in Mutual, Oklahoma.
Norma worked her entire life as a caregiver. Being able to help and take care of others bought her a lot of joy. She loved watching her children and grandchildren grow and accomplish all of their achievements. Norma also enjoyed gardening.
Norma is survived by her husband 33 years, Donald Lowther of the home; daughters, Brandy Hunter and husband Kelly, Brooke McIntosh and husband Ridge; brother, Hugh Griffith and wife Colleen; sister, Sharon Clem and husband Mark; three grandchildren, Jaide Pettus and husband Colby, Jaron Hunter and fiancé Katelynn Purviance, Jacob Hunter and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harlan and Juanita Griffith, brother Terry Griffith, sisters Lois Penrice, Linda Catlin, Karen Long, niece Amy Wheelwright and nephew Mike Carter.
Norma is greatly loved by her entire family and extended family.
