David Milton "Bud" Lowrance II
August 28, 1927 ~ October 10, 2017 (age 90)

David Milton "Bud" Lowrance II was born August 28, 1927 in Pampa, Texas to Audrey Julia and David Milton Lowrance Sr. He passed away October 10, 2017 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 12 days.

Bud grew up in Pampa where he graduated from high school. He entered the Merchant Marines and served during World War II.

He was married to Jay T. Fairless in Sayre, OK. He worked as a Cowboy in New Mexico and Texas for several years. He moved the family to North Hollywood, California to be near his parents while he attended Toledo Butchery School and attained his Butcher's Certificate. The family later moved to El Cajon and Lakeside, and Bud was the Head Butcher for Mayfair Markets for many years. They later moved to the San Francisco Bay area and he worked at Lucky's Market as a troubleshooter for the meat division. He retired in 1977 and moved to Sayre but worked for a time for Brown's Market and Puckett's Grocery before going to work for First National Bank and then entering the oilfield. He retired for good in 2013.

Bud's passion was riding and raising horses and he also raised other livestock including chickens, rabbits and goats. He always looked forward to attending horse auctions where he would spend the entire day. Bud was a great father, grandfather and great grandfather who was always there for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Aaron Ruben.

He is survived by his son, David Lowrance III & wife, Kathy, Sayre, OK; daughter, Clarice Lowrance, Sayre, OK; 3 grandchildren, Adam Ruben and wife, Jami, Sayre, OK, Jennifer Lowrance-York and husband, Jeremy, Durham, OK, and Audra Lowrance, Sayre, OK; 8 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Tyler, Aaron, Sophia, Tristan, Kenzie, Audry, Austin; a brother, James Henry Lowrance and wife, Jessie, Sayre, OK; his first wife, Jay T. Swift, Sayre, OK, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
