Jiggs grew up in the Delhi community where he attended school and graduated in 1944. After graduation he was married to Juanita May (Cornelius) Lowrance at Spring Creek, Oklahoma at Juanita's mothers house on January 29, 1945. In June of 1967, with his parents health failing, they moved back to Sayre, Oklahoma where they made their home. In 1969 Jiggs began working for Perdue Industries selling houses in the Sayre area before being employed with United for the next 19 years retiring in 1990. Besides providing for his family Jiggs loved the Lord and served as a deacon in every town they lived in, was ordained in January of 1957 and cooked and served at the men's breakfast.
