Charles "Chuck" Lowery
March 4, 1944 ~ January 20, 2018

Charles "Chuck" Lowery, 73, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma entered his heavenly home on January 20, 2018 after a stay in Owasso, Oklahoma shile under the care of RoseRock Hospice.

The son of Robert and Ruth (Deitler) Lowery, Chuck was born on March 4, 1944 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. His family moved from Muskogee Oklahoma to Bartlesville, Oklahoma when he was three years old. Chuck attended College High, graduating with the class of 1962.

After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1962-1965 as a Radarman. After completing his duty in Vietnam, he joined the Naval Reserves and served until 1968. Chuck then returned home and worked with his father at Lowery's Electric and his mother's A&W Drive In.

He joined the Bartlesville Police Department in 1969 and worked vigorously to become Captain, retiring in 1997. During his years with the department, Chuck organized the Bartlesville Crime Stoppers, served as President of the Oklahoma-Kansas Peace Officers, served on the Board of the Women and Children in Crisis, and the CASA board and worked CASA cases.

After his retirement, Chuck taught Private Investigation at Tri-County Tech as well as working Security there. He also owned and operated Lowery's Private Security and Investigations until 2007. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working with the Borderline Productions and Civil War Re-Enactments, watching westerns, History Channel and Animal Planet.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Stephanie Lowery.

Chuck leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Vicki, of the home; three sons, David Lowery and his wife, Carol, Robert Lowery and Michael Lowery; one daughter, Charlene Gue; two step-sons, Terry McGuire and Tracy McGuire; two brothers, Loren Lowery and his wife, Lori, Wayne Lowery and his wife, Barbara; one sister, Sherri Lowery; eighteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a very special friend, Ron Gilbert; many nieces, nephews, former colleges and friends.

A tribute of life service will be held at 10:00 am on February 3, 2018 at the Happy Hill Church in Ramona, OK. Rev. Lillie Gardner and Rev. Jack Richey will officiate. The V.F.W. & Navy will provide military honors.

A private inurnment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in honor of Charles Lowery to the Alzheimer's Association: 225 North Michigan Ave. Floor 17; Chicago, IL 6061.
