Charlie K "CK" (Edwards) Lowe

Charlie K "CK" (Edwards) Lowe
July 28, 1940 ~ 2016

C. K. (Charlie K. (Edwards) Lowe was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on July 28, 1940, to Jessie E. (Jack) and Ellis E. (Ed) Edwards.

Raised in Bartlesville, she graduated from College High School in 1958 and went on to attend Oklahoma State University for one year.

In 1960, Charlie married Rollie L. Lowe and they had one daughter.

Charlie worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for 33 years at locations in Kansas City, Missouri; Houston, Texas; and Bartlesville. After retirement she discovered her love of acting. She appeared in a number of plays at Theater Bartlesville and won Best Actress in several plays. Her acting was interrupted when she developed COPD and eventually had to be on oxygen 24/7. Before that happened, she was also an active community volunteer to various organizations, including the Animal Rescue Foundation, Agape Mission and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She also volunteered at Kane Elementary School as a reading tutor.

She is survived by her daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Lari (Lowe), Jason and Tag Gulley, of Jenks, Oklahoma, as well as three nephews, Blake Edwards, Scott Edwards and Bryan Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jack Newman Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Animal Rescue Foundation, P.O. Box 3292, Bartlesville, OK 74006.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 10:00 AM in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Father T. Lee Stephens will officiate.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
