Steven Michael Lovelady was born January 21, 1961 to Deloris A. and Waylon O. Lovelady in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Steven grew up in the Oklahoma City metro area and attended Dale Rogers School and participated in many local workshops.
Steven was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church including Highland Park, Howard Memorial, Southgate, and Heavenly Heights. He loved Church, patriotic music and children’s ministry music, sports of all kinds, and trains. He was a huge Guthrie Bluejays, Thunder, and OU and OSU fan!
He loved to attend celebrations, parties, and bowling (which he could beat all of us at!). Everyone that met him loved him. He carried kindness and love everywhere he went. He was everyone’s “favorite” wherever he was. His favorite holiday was July 4th which is the day God chose for him to make his entrance into heaven.
Steven is reunited with his mother, father, sister, all grandparents, uncles, aunts, and so many friends who have preceded him in death.
He is survived by Aunt Margie Bunge of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Aunt Joy Nichols of Allen, Oklahoma, Aunt Pat Johnson of Ada, Oklahoma, and many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
His cousins / caregivers, Dawna Elmore and Marla Belcher were honored to care for him and will continue to celebrate his life.
The celebration of Steven’s life will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Smith Memorial Chapel, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, Oklahoma . Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
