ENID, Okla. — Memorial service for Connie Sue Young-Louthan, 69, Enid, will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. A wake will be 4 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013, at 211 E. Broadway.
Connie was born March 19, 1944, to Katharine Almina Miller in Scott City, Kansas, and passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013, in Oklahoma City.
She graduated high school in Kimball, Nebraska.
She married Ron Young, and they lived in Liberal, Kansas.
Connie started several businesses and was the first woman Chamber of Commerce ambassador and first woman broker. She also worked for an oil company.
Connie received several awards and achievements including Outstanding Community Service, National “Special Event,” Who’s Who, Leaders in American Innovation and Outstanding Civic Dedication awards.
On August 17, 1985, Connie married the love of her life, Kent Louthan. They made their home in Enid.
Connie was a homemaker, avid fisherman and loved camping. She was an inventor and held several patents. Connie was past president of Oklahoma Inventors and Innovations. Connie never met a stranger and has friends all over the world.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Connie is survived by her husband, Kent, of the home; daughter, Cindy Greven and husband, John, of Enid; son, Steven Young of Oregon; son, Tyler Floy Louthan and wife, Amanda, of Enid; four grandchildren, Amber Greven, Justin Greven, Jakkson Louthan and Iris Forbes; future great-granddaughter, Kinsley Grace; niece, Katharine Nabrovski; and Janice Chapman.
Memorial may be made through the funeral home to Integris’ Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute. Condolences maybe made at www.andersonburris.com.
