Chris was born in Bartlesville, OK, September 29, 1961 to Charles and Barbara Lorenz. He moved to Tulsa after marrying Linda on May 22, 1981. His career in heat treating allowed him opportunities to work for Hinderliter, Bodycote and Thermal Specialties Inc. The last five years Chris was employed by Southwest United Industries. Chris was known to be a source of encouragement and support to many people he encountered during his career. Chris was a member of Destiny Church in Broken Arrow, OK and served as a volunteer parking lot attendant and usher. Chris was a true example of the Father's love for people.

Chris was a devoted, faithful, and loving husband for 37 years. A day did not go by that he did not mention how beautiful his wife was to him. He was a great father and deeply loved and supported his children. He was also enthusiastic and supportive of his children and their endeavors. He made a point to call his daughter every day on his way home from work and to help with any projects around his kid's homes. He took great pride in being Papa to Levi and taking him for rides in Papa's red truck. Chris loved fishing, hunting, and gardening (including watching it grow). He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
