Andrea Lea (Cain) Longshore, born September 18, 1957 in Stilwell, Oklahoma passed into her eternal celebration May 13, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Andrea’s inner being was beautiful. She was gifted with the ability to connect personally with people while quietly and gently offering the love of Jesus Christ. As a young girl, she dreamed of being a missionary. Her life did not take her abroad, but instead put her in the public eye for most of her adult life. For 43 years she worked in the banking industry. Those years were divided between Bank of Commerce and Armstrong Bank. Andrea worked in every department and acquired an abundance of financial knowledge. She used her ability to meet people throughout her years of service to build quality relationships and lifelong friends. Not only did she help with the financial needs of her customers, she offered counseling, a listening ear and Christian based advice. Her mission field may have not been in another country, but she certainly used her abilities to reach people in our own community.
Throughout her career, Andrea served the Stilwell community in the Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimist International, Relay For Life, Help In Crisis, ICTC, Adair County Fair Booster Club, 4-H Club and has served as countless contestant judges. She was a lifelong member of the Rocky Mountain Bible Church, where she has served as Deaconess, Sunday School teacher, AWANA Leader, Ladies’ Bible Class, Vacation Bible School Teacher and helped to cook and serve many church meals. Her hands and heart were made to serve others.
Andrea attended Rocky Mountain Elementary and graduated from Cave Springs High School. She also attended Northeastern State University for 2 years. August 22, 1975, Andrea married her high school sweetheart, Ricky Longshore. To this union were born three boys: Colby Ryan, Coy Bryce and Craig Alan. Together they built a life around Coon Mountain raising beef cattle and poultry farming. Andrea was very involved in her boys’ activities throughout their growing up years. They were involved in sports, 4-H projects, 4-H speeches, swine, cattle, and sheep shows, besides school work and church activities. She was always there, being their hardest critic, pushing them to do their best, but also giving them love and encouragement. She taught her boys from an early age about Jesus and the importance of having a personal relationship with him. Andrea was very happy each of her boys had accepted Christ. She also instilled honesty, hard work and responsibility.
Andrea was the fifth of six children born to Andrew Carl Cain and Joy Marie (Worley) Cain. She was a lifetime resident of Stilwell, Oklahoma and lived in the Rocky Mountain and Horn Communities all her life. Her siblings include: Ronald Dale and wife Teresa; Janice Marie (Cain) Fletcher; Lanny Andrew and wife Youlanda; David Earl and wife Tressia; and Stephanie Shawn (Cain) Anderson and husband Jeff; Step-sisters, Patsy (Morton) Winkler and Radena (Morton) Rutherford. Andrea was not only the nucleus of her own family, but also to her siblings. She was always available for a chat, advice, or help in any situation and was always ready to host family gatherings. Ski trips, hiking trips, hunting trips, and weddings have included all or most of the family in a convoy to the location, with Andrea leading the way. Her nine grandchildren were truly her delight. She loved spending time playing with them or swimming with them in the pool. Andrea was an outstanding cook and an expert at providing large meals. She always said, “It’s better to have too much than not enough.” She was funny, adventurous and energetic. Branson was her home away from home. She enjoyed driving up and going to a movie and riding the rides at Silver Dollar City. Many trips to Branson were made with the entire family and many great memories were made.
Andrea was preceded in death by her Father, Andrew Cain; her mother, Joy Cain; her step-mother, Pixie (Ketcher-Morton) Cain; brother-in-law, Wendell Fletcher and step-nephew, Devin Winkler. She is survived by her husband Ricky, of the home; son, Colby and wife, Phoebe, children Sway, Cain and Asa of Helena, Montana; son, Coy and wife, Alyssa, children Hudson, Creed, Easton and Ellie of Clarksville, Arkansas; son, Craig and wife Kati, children Tilly and Rainee of Stilwell, Oklahoma; siblings Ronnie (Teresa), Janice, Lanny (Youlanda), David (Tressia), Stephanie (Jeff); special nephews and niece: Austin, Cade, Gunnar and Autumn Anderson and many nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.

Andrea knew the Bible. She had read it in its entirety many times. She knew there comes a time for each of us to wither and fall. She believed the Word of God endures forever and that she will enter her heavenly home. We can be assured she has heard the words, “Well, done good and faithful servant”. There are not enough words to explain the impact Andrea has had on our lives and the eternal love we have for her. It becomes essential for us remaining to hold her memory in our hearts and to honor her legacy by being interested in people, caring for each other, loving our families, and spreading the love of Jesus our Savior.
In Lieu of flowers, gifts in Memory of Andrea can be made to Rocky Mountain Bible Church to be directed to chosen ministries by the family.
