Jerry Chris Londenberg, Sr., 78, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in Oklahoma City. The son of Ernest Amel Leon Londenberg and Frances Elizabeth (Dorman) Londenberg, he was born August 10, 1946, in Waco, Texas.
Jerry married Loretta Janell Howeth on June 2, 1969, in Newport News, Virginia. Jerry served in the United States Army as an aircraft mechanic and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army, he continued working as a civilian contractor for the Army for many years. During his career, he lived in various states including, Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Alabama, and Colorado. He also served a term stationed overseas in Germany. Everywhere he and his family lived, they would buy a house, completely remodel it, and make it better. In his spare time, he enjoyed yardwork, fishing, going to the casino, woodworking, and building model airplanes. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of nearly 48 years, Loretta Londenberg; and a sister, Marsha Anderson.
Jerry is survived by one daughter, Kamie Mata and her husband, Paul, of Blanchard; one son, Jerry “J.C.” Londenberg, Jr. and his wife, Gwendolyn, of Canon City, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Cassie Colvin, Melissa Smith, Robin Krehbiel and her husband, Justin, Cheyenne Londenberg and her husband, Nathan Spaulding, Sierra Londenberg and her husband, Jacob Ahrenholtz, Asia Mata, Lakotah Mata, Jaren Mata, and India Mata; five great grandchildren, Johnathyn Londenberg, Lillian Krehbiel, Jack Krehbiel, Sophia Spaulding, and Oliver Spaulding; one sister, Peggy Mabry and her husband, Mike, of Clifton, Texas; and many other loved ones and friends.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
