Travis Allen Logan passed away peacefully surrounded by family May 19, 2024 at the age of 62.
Travis was born January 18, 1962 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Bert & Louise Logan. He lived in many places in his early years, before calling Tonkawa home.
Travis graduated from Tonkawa High School & Pioneer Tech in 1980 where he studied automotive technology. After graduation, Travis enlisted in the National Guard. He proudly served his country until 1993. He started his career with the Ford Dealership in Tonkawa and later went to work for Charley True Auto Service for over 40 years until he retired in 2023.
Travis married the love of his life Betty on June 25, 1982 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. From this union came 3 children. He cherished his family above all else.
Travis was an avid Sooner fan. He loved the outdoors & enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, & playing horseshoes. Some of his favorite times were floating the river with his family.
He was a very skilled craftsman and he loved working with his hands. He was a hardworking man & took pride in his work.
Travis had an infectious smile that could light up a room. He was always smiling & loved to be silly & make people laugh.
He was a very simple & humble man. A great friend to many and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.
Travis is survived by his wife Betty of the home. Daughters, Tracy Summers and her husband James of Tonkawa, OK, Laura Barker and husband Jeremy of Oklahoma City, OK. Son, Ryan Logan of Oklahoma City, OK. Grandchildren, Harper Baldwin, Kyler Summers, Lane Summers, Nakota Summers, Gabe Summers, River Barker, Raven Barker, Bria Barker, & Jemma Barker. His Mother, Donna Logan of Tonkawa, OK. Sisters, Stephanie Millican and husband Kermit of Norman, OK and Kaye Nephew of Tonkawa, OK. Mother-in-Law, Mary Schuchman of Stanton, NE. Sister-in-Laws, Leona Wetmore and husband Dwayne of Tonkawa, OK, and Nelda Shipman and husband Brett of Blackwell, OK. Brother-in-laws Willie Schuchman and wife Kim of Stanton, NE and Carl Schuchman and wife Geri of Madison, OH. and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Louise Logan and his brother, Quintin Logan.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Christian Life Church in Tonkawa with Mr. Keith Denton, officiating.
