Tracy Ilene Groover Lizama, loving mother of four children, died Thursday, March 11, 2021. She was 59. Tracy was born November 10, 1961, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Kathryn Hurd and Jerry Don Groover.
Tracy graduated from high school in Berlin, Germany at Berlin American High School. She was one of the best athletes in multiple sports, especially in softball and gymnastics. She enjoyed making quilts for everyone special to her. She also loved spending time with her 9 grandchildren and grand-dogs. Her interests included family, sewing, reading, and journaling. Her charm and smile enlightened any moment.
She is survived by her siblings Donald Groover (Tahlequah, OK), Randy L. Groover (Tahlequah, OK), and Sherry Bynum (Norman, OK). She leaves behind her loving children Melanie Lizama (Citrus Heights, CA), Marissa Lizama (Antelope, CA), Kendra Lizama (Tahlequah, OK), Randy R. Groover and wife (Altamont, KS), and her dog Baby (Tahlequah, OK). Tracy was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her. A service will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please support the Humane Society of Cherokee County.
