Ira "Bill" Livingston
October 13, 1930 ~ April 30, 2018

Ira "Bill" Livingston, 87, died Monday, April 30, 2018, in Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services was 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Southwest Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Woodard officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Burial followed in Elmwood Memorial Park. 

Born in Ranger, Texas, on October 13, 1930, Bill was the son of Dora Bell (Welch) and Ira Rupert Livingston. 

He owned and operated Livingston R & G Machine Shop in Enid, Oklahoma. He was also a truck driver in the oilfield. In 2003, Bill moved from Enid to Abilene.

He was a Ranger for the Fred Darby Boy Scout Camp in Tahlequa. He was very active in Boy Scouts as a Scout Master. He was a Silver Beaver and a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow.

Bill married Johnnie Joyce Monroe in Midland, Texas, August 19, 1949. He was a member of Southwest Park Baptist Church in Abilene.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Dora Livingston; brothers, Joe, Gerald, Troy, Jack and Mike; and sisters, Lola, Iola, Jewel Dee and Iva Mae. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Joyce Livingston of Abilene; three daughters, Diane Roberts and husband David of Abilene, Beverly Buller and husband Jim of Enid, and Janet Burke and husband Wes of Tomball, TX; and two sisters, Nell Swan of Anna, TX, and Glenna Cox of Odessa.

Survivors also include five grandchildren, Shannon Baker, Valerie McKinney, Brett Roberts, Jerrod Burke and Jennifer Scoggin, and six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Brandon, and Emily McKinney, Lainee and Easton Roberts, and Adeline Scoggin.
