Richard Wayne Little of Welling went home on Nov. 15, 2017, where he was welcomed at the gates of heaven by his parents, David Sr. and Bertha Rose, and three brothers, Gilbert, Edwin and David Jr.
Richard. He was born Dec. 10, 1938, in Concho.
He graduated from Earlsboro High School in 1958, member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe, and married his beloved wife Carolyn Sue Hobbs Little on May 9, 1964. Together they raised three children, Denise Little of Welling, Tony Little of Bethel Acres, and Lacey Little-Martinez of Stillwell.
Richard served 27 years in the Army where he rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was devoted to his country and family. Richard loved fishing, hunting, the 45th infantry division and spending time with family and loved ones. He was always smiling, would love to make others laugh and didn't know a stranger.
Richard leaves behind his loving wife Carolyn; three children, Denise, Tony and wife Melissa, Lacey and husband Mando; eight grandchildren, Amanda and husband Gordon, Chantalle, Kaileb and fiancé Hailey, Mariah and husband Joel, Ethan, Mila, Maria, Stormy, Zoe; six great-grandchildren, Gavin, Trenton, Bentlei, Riot, Felicity, Easton; one brother Freddy Don; and sister Belva; and countless in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Please join us in a celebration for the life of Richard on Saturday, Nov. 25, at noon, located at Horseshoe Bend Community Center, 46309 Garrett's Lake Rd, Shawnee.
