Debra Renee' Lippincott was born October 13, 1963 in Garland, Texas the daughter of Marlin and Shirley (Vice) Lippincott. She was raised in the Garland area, attending the Richardson Independent School District, graduating from Berkner High School in 1981.
After completing her high school education, Debra began a career in the hotel sales industry. With her intelligence and sharp relationship skills, Debra quickly became a top sales producer, most recently being recognized by Bluegreen Resorts as one of their top four sales people in the nation in December of 2009.
Debra was a loving person, who had a zest for life. When in the
company of a large crowd of people, Debra would unassumingly become the
"star of the show." Her personality and beautiful smile was so
engaging, people were just naturally attracted to her.
Not only did people find Debra fun and exciting, children did too. Her patient gentleness put children at ease and at the same time brought Debra insurmountable joy. She adored her nephew, Chris and her niece, Chelsea and enjoyed teaching them art, dancing, and choreographing a stage act and entertainment show. All in good fun of course, but nonetheless a serious "work of art" carefully crafted by an adoring aunt and performed by two admirers, Chris and Chelsea.
Debra's heart carried her in many places, but more often than not, she could be found supporting and rallying for the "underdog" with no distinction between people and animals. Her carrying and giving spirit was one of unmatched generosity and love. Tempered with humility, Debra's kindness will never be fully known. Giving was something she lived and everyday she was called to make our world a better place, whether it was a soft spoken word of encouragement or a good deed. But at the end the day, Debra's world was a little better because she made a conscious effort to give back.
Debra had many talents and one passion. That passion was family. As previously stated, she loved Chris and Chelsea with all of her heart, as they were the sunshine of her life. If anyone asked about them, Debra would proceed to share her pride and her own admiration for them. She dearly loved her sister, Cheri and her brother-in-law, Carter too, and was thankful for their care and concern for her life. But it was the unconditional love of her parents, Shirley and Marlin that continued to care and nurtured Debra right up until God called her home on November 22, 2011.
Debra is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and has found the peace and joy that only comes from our Father, having made her commitment to Christ as a preteen.
Luke 15:10 says, "There is joy in the presence of the angels of God when one sinner changes his heart and life" Heaven is now populated by one who let God change them. All arguments will cease, for jealousy won't exist. Suspicions won't surface, for there will be no secrets. Every sin is gone. Every insecurity is forgotten. Every fear is past. Pure wheat. No weeds. Pure gold. No alloy. Pure love. No fear. No wonder the angels rejoice at the arrival of one of their saints'; they know another work of art has just graced the gallery of God.
In addition to her parents, her sister and brother-in-law and her niece and nephew, Debra is survived by a special friend, Steve Wright, who shared love and laughter and cared for her in the final days of her life on this earth.
Burial will conclude in the Bascom Cemetery in Tyler, Texas under the direction of the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma. Online memories of Debra may be shared at www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com
