On Monday, July 27, 2020, Sherri Renee Linton of Blanchard, OK departed from this earth as she stepped into the light of God's ever-loving presence. Sherri was a strong woman with a servant's heart who loved fiercely and fought courageously during her four-year battle with cancer.
Sherri was born on June 16, 1959 to Jimmy and Edna Cox in Denver, CO. She was raised in Oklahoma City, OK and graduated from Del City High School. Sherri was an avid follower of Christ and member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She believed in faith, family and fun! Sherri was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, step-mother, sister, aunt and Nini. She was a friend, mentor and confidant with an adventurous spirit. Sherri and David were married on March 6, 2001 in Tulsa, OK. They traveled often and together they visited six different countries in their 19 years of marriage.
Sherri's memory will always be cherished by her husband, David Linton; her children, Kayla Allen and Tyler Phipps and wife, Denae; her step-children, Jennifer Abrams and Stephanie Calhoun and husband, Michael; her sister, Karen Mulanax and husband, Rick; her grandchildren, Haylie and Harlee Allen and Gannon and Asher Abrams; Nieces and Nephews, Jay Mulanax and wife, Erin, Jimmy Cox and wife, Kayla, Mary Mulanax and wife, Hayden, Allen Cox and wife, Amanda, and Matt Mulanax; her great-nieces and nephews, Wrynlee and Isaac Cox and Samual Mulanax. Sherri is preceded in death by her Father, Jimmy Cox; parents, Paul 'Leroy' and Edna Nitzel; brother, Mark Cox.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 3, 2020, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
