He is survived by his sisters Geneva Hoffman of Claremore,
Oklahoma, and Karen Linn of Maysville, Oklahoma. Melvin is also survived by
his step - children, Bobby Foreman and Bear Foreman, both of Jay, Oklahoma;
step - grandchildren, Sarah Summerfield and husband Josh, Micah Foreman
Blackbear, Seth Foreman Blackbear, Shiane Foreman, Kierra Fields, Dylan
Foreman, and Tevin Keen. Additionally, he was a step - great-grandfather to
Joe Joe Summerfield, Blake Agnes, Katharine Summerfield, Norman Foreman,
Jaxon Foreman, Kamden Fields, Malachi Fields, and Easton Fields.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katharine Linn, as well as his parents, Marvin and Violet (Spyres) Linn; sister, Louise January and stepson, Richie Foreman.
Among his many interests, Melvin was known for his passion for cooking out and hosting family dinners. His love for outdoor activities was highlighted by his enjoyment of fishing, and he took great pleasure in cheering on his favorite sports teams, particularly the Oklahoma Sooners football team and the Dallas Cowboys. Additionally, Melvin found entertainment in watching wrestling and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
