Miles Kenneth "Mike" Lindsey, 75, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015. Mike was born November 9, 1939 in York Pennsylvania, the son of M. Kenneth and Peryl Lindsey.
Mike served in the United States Marine Corps, and was stationed at the Naval Ammunition Plant in McAlester, Oklahoma. After leaving the military, he worked as a grocer at Matt's 6th Street Grocery in McAlester, and as a rancher, and grocery merchandiser until his retirement, raising two children with wife Patty Sue (Patterson) Lindsey in McAlester.
He later relocated to Greenwood, South Caroline, where he was active in his church, participating in the Good News Club children's fellowship with his wife pastor Lillie Ann (Osteen) Lindsey, and serving in his local Marine Corps League chapter.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lynda Sue and wife Patty Sue of McAlester, Oklahoma, and wife Lillie Ann (of Anderson, South Carolina. He is survived by son Thomas Michael Lindsey of Norman, Oklahoma, sister Helen von Wolffradt of Four Seasons, Missouri, nephew Eric Lindsey and family of Katy, Texas, nephew Tim von Wolffradt of Alexandria, Virginia, and niece Greta Ryan and family of Olathe, Kansas.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman, officiated by Johnny Wray.
