Kelly Elizabeth Lindon, a resident of Cleveland, Oklahoma, was unexpectedly called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Her call home seemed too soon for those left behind after only forty-five short years in her earthly home. Kelly was born on June 30, 1977, in Tulsa to Wendell and Roben Elizabeth (Street) Graham. She was raised and received her education in Hominy, graduating from Hominy High School in 1996. Kelly also attended Central Technology Center, where she completed the Business Office Management/Accounting program. While a student at Central Tech, she met Brian Lindon. Kelly and Brian blessed this earth with three beautiful daughters who will carry Kelly’s legacy and motherhood skills with them for the rest of their lives.
A few years after high school Kelly left her hometown of Hominy and made a home in Hallett, where she was the Hallett City Clerk till 2016. In 2016, Kelly moved to Skiatook to take care of her Mother and moved to Cleveland two years ago. Kelly’s career ranged from being a homemaker/mother, working with her Mother at the Cupid Factory in Hominy to being the Hallett City Clerk, and recently working in the banking and financial management industry. Kelly had a strong work ethic and worked two, sometimes three jobs to ensure the needs of her daughters were always met.
Kelly enjoyed her family, especially being a MiMi to her grandson Tyler who was her “little buddy”; she enjoyed family trips and camping, watching medical TV shows, dramas, and scary movies with Lyndsie. Kelly was a fun-loving person who didn’t take life too seriously; however, she also wouldn’t hesitate to let you know the times that you needed to be serious and respectful. She was always smiling but was known to be outspoken and stubborn at times. Kelly always searched for the silver linings in life no matter how dark the times may have seemed. She always had a smile and a fun, light-hearted joke, no matter the situation. Kelly was an active parent with all of her girl’s activities; rather it was Katlyn’s school band, Emily’s softball team, or Lyndsie’s choir, she was always at all the events and pitched in to help with many of the student events at Cleveland and Skiatook Schools. Kelly was known for her cooking skills; whether it be a peanut butter pie for a birthday or a potato salad for a BBQ, she always ensured everyone had a favorite dish of hers. Being the eldest daughter of Wendall and Roben Graham, she was known as the organizer, and the “make things happen sister.” She was always ready to organize the many Graham family gatherings and was not afraid to tell you to bring ice, a veggie tray, or plates if your cooking wasn’t up to her standard.
Those who survive and hold many cherished memories include her three daughters: Katlyn Pyles and husband Sam of Hallett, OK, their son Tyler, Emily Lindon, and Lyndsie Lindon, both of Cleveland; Four brothers – Jason Nance, his wife Marybeth, their children Jennifer and Josiah; Dewayne Graham his children Sarina, Zacheus, Jace, Ila, and Miranda; Brian Graham, his wife Danielle their sons Aiden and Camerin; and Clayton Graham; three sisters Shelly Graham her daughters Breanna and Megan; Lee Ann Graham and her son Vance; and Melissa Graham and her fiancée Cody McPherson, their son Clem. Uncle Scott Street and Aunt Betty Bell, Jessica Fisher. Kelly also leaves behind numerous cousins, friends, and coworkers.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Roben Graham, Grandparents Warren and Elizabeth Street, Uncle Kelly Street, Father, Wendall Graham, Grandparents Ben and Ida Graham, Brother Eric Graham, Niece Mikaela Nance, and Nephew Mason Nance.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life to honor her memory at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland.
