Funeral service for Christian Lindmeir, 32 of Enid, will be Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11:00 am in Anderson-Burris Chapel.
Christian Chase Lindmeir was born on December 9 th, 1990 in Provo Utah and died on April 26, 2023 in Chandler, Oklahoma. Before he was four years old he had lived in Utah, Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii and Chicago. After Chicago, he spent the majority of his childhood and youth in Layton, UT where he wreaked absolute havoc on the community with a wild and fun group of friends. He grew up as the oldest of six siblings. He loved visiting Idaho as often as he could to play on his grandpa Peck’s property. There, Christian, his younger brothers, and his cousins were able to “work” on trucks, farm equipment, broken cars, motorcycles and again, get in lots of trouble. It was also a place where he could let his imagination run wild and it where he began to learn how to fix almost anything. As a youth, he picked up his first motorcycle. Slowly, others in the family acquired bikes and 4 wheelers and the entire family would spend weekends tearing up the mountain trails as a family. Even though they would deny it, for him and the brothers, it was ALWAYS a competition. That said, he also made sure that everyone made it where they should and would often circle back to check on mom, and his sisters. He was notorious for teasing and picking on his siblings while at same time being their absolute protector where real threats were involved. He was always the life of family parties, the creator of new and fun games, and the funnest person to hang with in the room. His magnetic personality attracted a steady stream of teenagers into the Lindmeir home. Mom & Dad never really knew who or how many would show up for dinner. He was also a terrific athlete and played soccer on competition teams and swam for Layton High School.
He was a proud Eagle scout and was so very grateful to his scout leaders and his mom for their support along that journey. He often joked that he would not let anyone around him touch a knife unless they had their “Totin’ Chip”. He met Marci in 2011 and they were inseparable from day one. They loved to go camping in the mountains, beach vacations with friends and always had huge goals for their future. One day in April 2014 Christian came home from work & said he took the next day off so they could go get married. Not quite the proposal every girl dreams of but it was exactly their style. They got married in Vernal, UT with just the two of them without any of the fluffy traditional wedding things. Again, exactly their style.
Christian began his line career with Anderson Wood Construction and instantly fell in love with the adrenalin, the challenges & especially the storm work. Linework is what took him and Marci to Oklahoma in 2016. He worked for K&M Highline in Guthrie where his leadership made a huge impact and he became a foreman for the company. His crew was family and followed him to MDR Construction where he worked until his passing. The passion he had for linework was inspiring & admirable to say the least. When Christian wasn't building powerlines he was building something at home. Marci still isn't sure which he liked better, building things or buying the tools to build those things. Christian also loved the outdoors. Setting up trail cams & food plots for deer season, fishing at any & all ponds and taking the side x side on trail rides were some of his favorites.
Christian loved being a father & especially a girl dad. He was often known for having glitter in his beard, pink painted toe nails & Barbie dolls in his pickup. His daughters were the light of his life. We will miss Christian more than we could ever put into words but know that his light will always shine through Lainey & Landyn.
He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Robert Peck, Fred & Maxine Lindmeir.
He is survived by wife Marci, two daughters Lainey & Landyn Christian; parents, David and Nancy Lindmeir; brothers, Marcus (Ellora) Lindmeir and Gabe Lindmeir; sisters, Kiana (Sam) Schriever, Waverli (Jackson) Ogles, Shivani Lindmeir; grandmothers, Connie Peck and Delores Jenkins; in-laws, Craig and Cindy Jenkins; Jessica Reichert, Karli Jenkins, Jace (Krystal) Jenkins, The Dave Nye Family, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends & all his line brothers.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Linelife Foundation.
