Robert “Bob” Linden, 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Enid, Oklahoma. Born on October 25, 1948, in Canton, Oklahoma, Bob lived a life defined by integrity, skill, and quiet strength.
A class of 1966 graduate of Canton High School in Canton, Oklahoma, Bob dedicated his professional life to mastering the art of mechanics and construction. For over 30 years, he worked as a highly skilled aircraft mechanic at Vance Air Force Base. His precision, work ethic, and mechanical expertise earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. In addition to his career in aviation mechanics, Bob was also the owner of Linden Construction Company. With meticulous care and craftsmanship, he built homes that became cherished spaces for families—a testament to his dedication to quality and his ability to shape not only structures but lives.
Bob’s talents extended far beyond his professional endeavors. Known for his ability to fix almost anything, he approached every project with a perfectionist’s eye and a craftsman’s touch. One of his proudest personal achievements was rebuilding a 1929 Model A Ford, a labor of love that reflected his passion for motorsports and mechanical precision.
Though a man of few words, Bob’s quiet presence spoke volumes. His steady demeanor and good-hearted nature made him someone people trusted deeply. He cared for others with genuine simplicity and was known for his unwavering commitment to doing what was right—a trait that endeared him to all who knew him.
Bob was a devoted husband to his late wife, Deborah Linden, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life. He was also a loving father and grandfather who provided steadfast support and guidance to his family. He is survived by his daughter Kelsey Hill; grandson Trevor Hill; and granddaughters Hailey Alford, Courtney Arndt, and Erin Hill; great-grandson Avander Davis, and many more family members and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Deborah Linden, daughter Tricia Alford, brother, Bill Linden, sister Betty Brown, and parents George and Fern Linden.
A lifelong lover of motorsports and speed, Bob found joy in engines and the hum of machinery, especially when racing his 1966 SS 396 Chevelle. Whether working with his hands or watching a race, he was most at home around the mechanical marvels he so deeply admired.
Robert “Bob” Linden leaves behind a legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and love—a life built not from many words but from countless meaningful actions. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on June 5, 2026, from 05:00 PM to 06:00 PM at Amy Stittsworth Funeral Home 2420 N. Washington. A visitation will be held after the service during which friends and family may view the body.
