Susan D. (Frew) Lewis

Susan D. (Frew) Lewis
December 11, 1952 ~ August 7, 2012

Susan D. (Frew) Lewis beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Susan was born on December 11, 1952 in Pawhuska, OK to Leroy and Nellie Frew.

While growing up in Pawhuska, she met the love of her life, Charles Lewis, at age 13. The two were inseparable, and on October 16, 1969 they were married. Susan and Charles moved to Bartlesville in 1977 and raised three children together.

While the children attended school in Bartlesville, she worked from home helping Charles operate Road Runner Construction Company. She loved being deeply involved with her children and their friends as they grew up together, always attending school and sporting events. After the children were grown, Susan went to work at Phillips Petroleum Company. Susan enjoyed her family and friends most in life, and she always helped everyone as much as she could. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed, but we know that in every ray of sunshine, every drop of rain, and every gust of wind, she is with us, always. We love you.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Nellie Frew of Pawhuska, her brother Rowland Frew of Bartlesville, and her brother Ronald Frew of Nowata. She is survived by her husband Charles J. Lewis Jr. of Bartlesville, daughter Kimberly A. Weldon and husband Adam of Sperry, OK, son Charles J. Lewis III (Jamie) and wife Carrie of Bartlesville, son Brandon S. Lewis and wife Amanda of Bartlesville, eight grandchildren Jamison Weldon, Brandon Weldon, Nathan Weldon, Charles J. Lewis IV(Jay), Emma Lewis, Isabella Lewis, Madeline Lewis and Johnathon Lewis, sister Pat Bruning of Bartlesville, sister Jodell Mathes of Nowata, brother Albert Frew, several nieces and nephews Sherry Gray of Bartlesville, Donnie Epperson of Conroe, TX, Larry Don Malaske of Dewey, Jimmy Mathes of Pawhuska, Misty Smolik of Pawhuska, Tammy Epperson of Oklahoma City, Clay and Desira Mathes of Nowata, and Stevie Danielle Lewis of Santa Clarita, CA.

Private family service held Saturday, August 11, 2012. Susan had a great passion for reading, so upon the Lewis family's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan's name to the Pawhuska Public Library, 1801 Lynn Avenue, Pawhuska, OK 74056.
