Dale Lee Lewis, 76, of Pampa, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 17, 2024.
Celebration of life services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Fellowship Baptist Church of Pampa, with Pastor Joel Osborne, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Dale was born April 12, 1948, to James and Margaret Lewis. Dale was raised in Freedom, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school and went on to Barber College in Enid, Oklahoma. Dale moved to Texas in 1973 where he drove a truck and then retired from the railroad. Dale married Alma Elmoe Lewis with son, Alva Ferguson, in 1976 and had twins, Dayla and Clinton Lewis, in 1977. Dale served his Lord at his Church Home, Fellowship Baptist Church in Pampa, Texas. where he loved his church family.
Dale is preceded in death by his father, James Lewis, and mother, Margret Lewis; sister, Linda Lewis; and his beloved daughter, Dayla Marie Lewis Griffis.
He is survived by his wife and forever love, Alma Elmoe Lewis of Pampa, Texas; sons, Alva Ferguson and wife Annabell of Pampa, Texas, and Clinton Lewis and wife Keri of Canyon, Texas; son in-law Michael Griffis of Hawkins, Texas; his grandchildren, Adrian Elam and Avery Ferguson (of Pampa, Texas), Colton Griffis (of Hawkins, Texas), Hunter Lewis, Reagan Lewis and Hollyn Lewis (all of Canyon, Texas); twin brother Gail Lewis and wife Linda of Streetman, Texas; brother Jimmy Lewis and wife Nancy of Fargo; sisters Glenda Stoner and husband Ken (of Coweta), Janice Stamm and husband Marty (of Gainesville, Florida), Cheryl Matlock (of Tulsa), and Alice Lewis (of Tulsa); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
