Willie Mae (Griffin) Leveridge

Willie Mae (Griffin) Leveridge
January 4, 1930 ~ October 4, 2016 (age 86)

Willie Mae Griffin Leveridge, was born January 4, 1930 and passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016.  She was the daughter of Ode and Bertha Griffin and lived her young life in Byars, OK. 

After the death of her father in December 1942, her mother married Raymond Thompson and the family moved to Purcell, OK in 1947.  Willie graduated from high school in 1948 from Purcell High School.  She married Floyd Leveridge on October 8, 1949 and together they had four children; Sharon Kay, Linda Sue, Donna Mae and Floyd II.

Willie was a member of Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church.  Willie loved genealogy, traveling and spending time at the lake.  She also loved square dancing. 

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon McGuire Storms and husband Bruce of Chickasha and Linda Leveridge of Norman.  One son, Floyd Leveridge II of Norman; one sister, Bertha Venable of Choctaw, OK and one brother, Joe Ray Thompson of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Crystal Templin and husband Steve of Lewisville, TX and Vicki Ricketts of Norman; four Great-Grandchildren, Alisha King of Norman, Lindsey Ricketts of Norman, Joseph Vaughn of Bend, Oregon and Tori Templin of Lewisville, TX; her niece, Shirley McManus of Choctaw, OK and nephew, Bill Venable of Scottsdale, AZ. 

Willie was preceded by her parents; one daughter, Donna Leveridge Houseberg and one grandson, Randall Marion Geno and one brother, Otto Griffin.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Havenbrook Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr., Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923 or the charity of your choice. 

Arrangements are under the care of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
