Bill J. LeRoy, 83, of Nowata, Ok passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012.

Born July 3, 1929 in Waunetu, Kansas to Eugene Wesley and Edith Diantha (Ramsey) LeRoy. The 6th of 7 children, he attended schools in Cedar Vale and Plainview, Kansas. He moved to California and graduated from Tujunga High School in 1947. He worked for Shalda Manufacturing in Burbank, California until joining the Air Force in February of 1948 and serving until September 1953. After the Air Force, he attended the University of Tulsa for 2 years and worked at Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Space Center in Littleton, Colorado. He began working at Phillips Petroleum company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in October of 1960 as a lab technician for the Research Center and retired from Phillips in July of 1986. Bill was married to Shirley J. Maloney on January 31, 1980. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and traveling. Bill was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness on June 16, 1990 and was an Elder in the Nowata Congregation.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley LeRoy of the home; sister, Betty LeRoy of Paradise, California; 2 children, Deborah Ann Sanders of Tulsa and Alan Wayne LeRoy of Dewey Ok; 3 step daughters, Mica & Bobby Pryor of Poetry, TX, Debra and Roger Haymaker of Collinsville, OK and Marla and Jeff Ropp of Newcastle, OK; 7 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; many relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by parents; daughter, Carolyn Marie Dahl; brothers, Earl LeRoy, Leon LeRoy, James LeRoy; sisters, Christine Hoover and Lois Weaver.

Graveside services will be held in Cedar Vale, Kansas on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:00am and a Memorial Service will be held at the Nowata Kingdom Hall on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 2:00PM.
